Lorena Martinez, an undergraduate at Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business, is pursuing a Management (BS) degree and a minor in Project Management. Prior to ASU, she excelled at Arizona Western College, completing her associate degree in arts and business with high distinction in 2022.
Lorena's professional journey includes roles such as Human Resources Screening Manager Intern at the National STEM Honor Society, where she contributed to addressing the STEM professional demand-supply gap. In addition, she progressed from a work-study position to a Transfer Service Specialist, aiding transfer students at Arizona Western College.
Lorena's commitment to education and leadership extends to her involvement with organizations like the League of United Latin American Citizens and participation in the Hispanic-Serving Institutions Immersion Program with HACU and Capital One. Her dedication to nonprofit organizations is evident in her PwC externship with Paragon One, focusing on CareerVillage's communication and business development. She is actively engaged in the Aspire Leaders Program, established by Harvard Business School professors, which equips her with practical insights into transformative leadership in communities. Lorena's vision includes a career in Human Resources post-graduation and a long-term aspiration to establish her own nonprofit. As a first-generation Hispanic Mexican student, she aims to be a guiding light and role model for fellow Hispanic and Latino students.
